Maze Rattan Winchester Corner Group

Maze Rattan Winchester Corner Group

Maze Rattan Winchester Corner GroupĀ  – 4 – 6 Seater

The Maze Rattan Winchester Corner Group is a rattan resin weave corner group set which seats four to six people, and it has an accompanying glass topped table. The set also comes complete with the neutral coloured cushions pictured which are water resistant.

The furniture is made from man made rattan which is actually a resin weave material, which is woven around an aluminium frame for strength and then welded in place so that it doesn’t unravel. Rattan garden furniture is popular because it does not rot, fade, become brittle or get infested like wood, and the only maintenance it requires is the removal of dust which it can pick up from the garden. It is recommended that the furniture is covered over the winter months and hosed down before the first use after the winter.

This is a very attractive corner group arrangement. The furniture has been ergonomically designed to help you not only be comfortable, but also to retain good posture whilst you are seated, although if you are lucky enough to have it to yourself, you might just choose to lay across it and soak up the sun šŸ˜‰

Dimensions:
Table: 80cm x 80cm x 30cm (height)
Mid section: 75cm (width) x 65cm (depth) x 67cm (height)
Corner section: 75cm (width) x 65cm (depth) x 67cm (height)

Maze Rattan Washington Sofa Set

Maze Rattan Washington Sofa Set

Maze Rattan Washington Sofa Set in Light and Dark Brown Mix or Black – 4 Seater

The Maze Rattan Washington Sofa Set is a rattan resin weave four piece, four seater sofa set comprising a single two seater sofa, two arm chairs and a glass topped table. The glass table top is constructed from tempered 0.25″ safety glass. The set comes complete with the seven neutral coloured polyester cushions, which have covers which are removable and machine washable at a low temperature.

The furniture itself is constructed from resin weave which is woven around an aluminium frame and welded into place so that it cannot unravel. This makes the furniture strong, whilst it remains lightweight. Rattan furniture is becoming increasingly popular as it is virtually maintenance free and it is does not fade, crack, rot or become brittle when left outdoors, although it is recommended that the furniture be covered over the winter months and hosed down before the first use after the winter.

I particularly like the way the backs of the chairs are arched, meaning that you can recline on them and really relax in the garden. Furniture like this is great for outdoor entertaining and turns your garden into an additional reception room.

Dimensions:
Table: 90cm (35.4″) x 71cm (27.8″)
Two seater sofa: 87cm(34.5″) x 150cm (59″)

No home assembly is needed.

How to Choose Garden Furniture

Even in the most attractive of gardens, it is nice to be able to sit down and enjoy your surroundings on some suitable garden furniture. Fortunately, there is a wide selection of garden furniture availalble to suit all tastes and budgets.

Garden furniture is available in a wide range of materials including:

  • Hardwood – such as teak, oak or balau
  • Softwood – most commonly pine
  • Poly rattan – a resin weave man made rattan, usually reinforced with an aluminium frame
  • Textilene – a quick drying man made material used for seats and seat backs
  • Powder coated steelĀ  – steel given a coating to prevent rusting
  • AluminiumĀ  – a metal which does not rest
  • Polyester – frequently used for gazebos or parasol canopies.

The most prized – and expensive – material for garden furniture is hardwood due to its appearance and durability. However, poly rattan over the past few years has become increasingly popular as it is completely weather resistant and requires little 0r no maintenance. It can also be used to create more innovatively shaped garden furniture than hardwood and circular sets, cube sets, day beds and wave rider sun beds provide increased variety of choice. Poly rattan furniture is often bought for professional use too, because of its long lasting and hastle free nature.

Cheaper garden furniture is often made from a powder coated steel frame with textilene seats, but they are usually collapsible for easy storage and furniture such as this is ideal for occasional use, where you use it in the garden as required, and put it away in a garage or a shed when not in use.

Aluminium garden furniture is often very attractive to look at, with swirling designs and a very traditional, English garden appearance. It also does not rust. Pine furniture, on the other hand, looks good but should be treated with preservative about once a year to maintains its good looks and keep it free from rot.

Entertaining

If you are wanting to entertain in the garden, seating is a priority, and most garden sets will sell extra chairs separately so that you can seat everyone. It’s been my experience that people far prefer to huddle around a slightly too small table – provided they have a chair – than to be playing “musical chairs” or sitting two to a chair, so it’s worth making sure you have sufficient chairs for the number of guests that will be coming. Picnic benches are great for children as they are quite happy to squeeze together and you can seat more children than the recommended number of adults without a problem. They also allow children to have their own party whilst you have yours!

Comfort

If your primary purpose for garden furniture is comfort, not entertaining, treat yourself to one of those Luxor Swing Seat Gazebos. Complete with curtains and nets, the seat will actually fold down to make a double bed for the ultimate in garden relaxation.
